Capricornia Catchments can undertake GIS analysis and on ground verification with GPS and mobile mapping technologies. We have the ability to capture and analyse spatial and geographic data to translate real world features into digital assets. Using drones our certified project officers are able to capture detailed remotely sensed imagery, integrating global satellite imagery, aerial photographs and field data.

We understand the need for low cost yet high-quality mapping solutions. We offer an introductory course in the use of QGIS for your staff or volunteers. QGIS is a free and open-source desktop geographic information system application that supports viewing, editing, and analysis of geospatial data.

- Loading in basemaps
- Creating and exploring a basic map
- Feature classification (Vector base)
- Creating cartographical quality maps
