Capricornia Catchments is pleased to continue its partnership with Rockhampton Regional Council through Council’s Natural Resource Management (NRM) Program. The ongoing partnership supports environmental restoration across the region while providing trainees with practical, hands-on experience in conservation and ecosystem management.
Through the program, trainees undertake bush regeneration, revegetation and habitat restoration at sites including the Moores Creek corridor, contributing to healthier ecosystems while developing practical skills and nationally recognised qualifications.
Chair Michelle McRae said “This five‑year partnership gives us the certainty to invest in people and place – restoring important natural areas while building practical skills, confidence and pathways into employment for our trainees.”
