In August 2026, Capricornia Catchments trainees participated in Indigenous Cultural Awareness Training with Uncle Wade Mann, providing an opportunity to learn more about Darumbal Country, history, culture and traditions.
The training helped trainees deepen their understanding of the connection between people, Country and community, with Uncle Wade sharing his knowledge, stories and experience throughout the day.
Cultural awareness is an important part of the broader learning and personal development opportunities provided through our traineeship program, helping participants build knowledge, confidence and understanding both in the workplace and within the wider community.
Capricornia Catchments thanks Uncle Wade Mann for sharing his knowledge and providing such a meaningful learning experience for our trainees.
