In February 2023, Capricornia Catchments joined Westwood State School for a special community tree planting project celebrating The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
With funding through the Australian Government’s Planting Trees for The Queen’s Jubilee Program, the project helped create a lasting green legacy at the school while increasing and enhancing local tree canopy.
The planting gave the school community an opportunity to be part of a nationwide celebration, while establishing trees that will continue to grow and provide benefits for students and the local environment for years to come.
A fitting way to commemorate an extraordinary 70 years of service — and a legacy that will keep growing.
